Raising Funds at the Gravesham Riverside Festival

A fun day had by all whilst raising a £113.00 for the House of Mercy homeless charity.

Gravesham Riverside Festival 6th July 2019

House of Mercy

On the 6th July 2019 House of Mercy will be attending the Gravesham Riverside Festival.

We have been fortunate to be able to hold a stall this year where we are available to offer information about who we are and the support we offer.

This is a chance for those who would be interested in working with the homeless as either a volunteer or join us as bank staff to have a friendly chat and find out more information.

We also hope to raise money for the charity with our devoted staff who will be around from 10 am until 4 pm hoping to collect donations whilst giving out information about the House of Mercy.

We are grateful for the day's opportunity to share our passion for the charity and the work we do but more so to share this with all attending.

We hope to see you there, please come and find us and learn more about our homeless day center and the 35-bed spaces we offer to the vulnerable homeless.

Funds raised for House of Mercy by the Convent of Mercy - Eltham

On Thursday 20th June 2019 the Convent of Mercy Eltham held an Afternoon Tea Party including a raffle, Cake Stalls, Home Produce, etc.

All proceeds of the day have been donated to House of Mercy Gravesend to help support the homeless.

We are delighted and very grateful to all that helped make this day such a success and a very generous donation of £800 was given to House of Mercy Gravesend.

Please see the photos below of the day

House of Mercy is one of Cllr Bungar's chosen charities of the Year.

Cllr Gurdip Ram Bungar was announced as the new Mayor of Gravesham on 16 May 2019 at the annual council meeting.

We have been fortunate to be chosen as one of the charities of the year by the newely elected Mayor Cllr Gurdip Ram Bungar. His other chosen charities for the year are Ellenor and  Sanctuary.

We were sad to see previous Mayor Cllr David Hurley say goodbye at the annual council meeting on the 16th May 2019 who also supported the House of Mercy Charity which we are truly grateful for.

We are now proud to welcome Cllr Bungar as new Mayor of Gravesham and his wife Mayoress Nanjo Kaur Bungar who also attended our open evening of the new hostel Edmund Rice House on the 10th June 2019.
